On Day 2 of this retreat, Fr. Michael began by proclaiming with clarity that every Catholic is
called to a godly repentance not a worldly repentance. "For godly grief
produces a repentance that leads to salvation. It brings no regret but worldly
grief produces death. (2 Corinthians 7:10)"
"Fruitful retreats will save lives. Successful retreats
will count numbers. That is the same with our lives as well. We are called to
be fruitful people. Where I am planted by the Lord; Where I am permitted to be
by the Lord, that is where I will bear fruit because the Lord's Hand is upon
me. I might not be healthy; I might not be wealthy; I might not be successful -
but I will be fruitful."
"The Lord is your blessing. He will provide you
enough."
"Never be a stealer of blessings. What is needed for
me, the Lord will give me."

Fr. Michael shared what the Season of Lent should signify
and the importance of Lent being a season of purification for every Catholic.
"The Season of Lent is a healing of our souls; a
healing of our impurities. We are not citizens of this world. We are citizens
of Heaven. We are preparing for eternity. For 40 days the evil one will
intimidate us. Don't fall for that!"
" Do you want something new in your life? Then let the
40 days be your preparation. This retreat will only be a platform. After that,
build on this retreat so that you may grow for the Glory of God."
"The old will be shed; the NEW will begin."
