A Blessed Moment during Johore –Melaka Charismatic Rally in Malaysia – November 2007

Today, 19 May 2012, is the funeral of a much beloved priest-son of God - Rev. Fr. Rufus Pereira in Mumbai, India. Fr. Rufus is known all over the world as a gifted retreat director and exorcist.  For all of us who have attended any Holy Mass celebrations or retreats by Fr. Rufus , one thing is for sure – each of us through the wisdom of the Holy Spirit in Fr. Rufus have had deep meaningful experience of the Word of God. Fr. Rufus with the deep intensity of love for God in his eyes and clarity of his talks touched, converted and transformed hearts.

For those of us blessed to meet and speak to Fr. Rufus, we knew that we were in the presence of an uncommon priest – with a special calling from God to "Go throughout the world to preach the gospel to mankind." (Mark 16:15)  And that is what Fr. Rufus untiringly fulfilled for Christ till the end!

Fr. Rufus' words speak directly to our heart - "God wants us to live life to the full - that is the ultimate purpose of God's Love...Eternal life beginning in this world and continuing and flourishing in the next world...There is only one simple condition - that we believe and put our full faith in God's Word and full trust in God's Love and Mercy!"
