The season of Lent is a sacred time to examine our hearts as Catholics how we will sincerely repent with Prayers, Almsgiving and Fasting to reconcile our lives with Jesus. There are many anointed Lenten online talks and retreats currently. This year, the Friends of Divine 7-part, OUR FAITH JOURNEY WITH JESUS 2021 WEEKLY VIDEO REFLECTION series is a compilation of talks by Fr. Michael Payyapilly V.C.. Parish Priest of Holy Family Church, Doveton, Australia over the past year of how our personal relationship with God must grow and not stay stagnant. How do we do that? How can we do so? Why should Jesus be the centre of our lives? Until we examine our heart and mind to be holy and godly, our faith journey with Jesus will remain stunted and our lives will have anxiety, worries and fears. From a worldly life, we need to strive for a Christ-centred life.
As of today, I will post a weekly spiritual video talk by Fr. Michael every Sunday on this Friends of Divine blog until Maundy Thursday. The 7-part OUR FAITH JOURNEY WITH JESUS 2021 WEEKLY VIDEO REFLECTION SERIES is to help each of us to examine our personal relationship with Jesus. Am I growing in faith spiritually to a deeper, loving and mission-focussed life for God?
The first video of this series is "GOD"S GIFT OF THE JOURNEY".This Divine Australia video premiered in May 2020. Fr, Michael wisely reminds us, "more than the destination, it is about our journey with Jesus" that truly matters. We are pilgrims on this earth. Our journey on earth must lead each of us to Heaven.
Next Sunday Fr. Michael will be sharing the Word of God on “I NEED TO PERMIT JESUS INTO MY LIFE,"
Please do share this Friends of Divine Lenten 2021 Weekly Video Reflection series with your loved ones, prayer groups and friends to make this sacred season of Lent a truly transforming experience in our Christian life.
