Fr Michael challenges each of us "It is sad that at the Second Coming of Our Lord which is the End Times, many are in fear. Maybe it is because many of us are concentrating on the wrong things."

"Jesus' emphasis on the End Times is not on tomorrow. It is always on today - now! It is not about when He will come. It is, ' Am I prepared whenever it is? Am I prepared today? I cannot have a conversion tomorrow if I don't have a conversion now. Is my life worthy of God today?'"

"We are busy thinking of when the End Times are...if you spend that time preparing your heart to make the Light shine there - isn't that what Jesus wants of us every day?"

"Today if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts. (Hebrews 4:7)"

This retreat's focus is to help each of us turn to our Lord with a sincere and repentant heart. This retreat a grace-filled time to clear all the cobwebs of sin and indifference in our hearts for Jesus, who suffered and died for you and me, so that we will have Eternal Life.

Every Sunday until Maundy Thursday on this Friends of Divine blog, the 7-part OUR FAITH JOURNEY WITH JESUS 2021 WEEKLY VIDEO REFLECTION SERIES is uploaded to help each of us to examine our personal relationship with Jesus. Am I growing in faith spiritually to a deeper, loving and mission-focussed life for God?

The third video of this series  is  "THE OUR FATHER PRAYER-Our Relationship With God." Fr Michael exhorts us. "Do not babble when saying the Our Father prayer. It is a beautiful prayer. It is a beautiful prayer of experience; a beautiful prayer of encounter; a beautiful prayer of relationship. The Our Father prayer is always about knowing that the Will of God is to be done on heaven and on earth - not our will."

The Our Father Prayer should awaken and stir our hearts every time we pray it. This is the only prayer that Jesus taught us. This one prayer embodies the relationship each one of us need to yearn to build with our Heavenly Father. WIthout a deep meaningful relationship with God our Father, our life on this earth is meaningless.

"Jesus comes in to change and convert...If we don't permit Jesus to come into our lives and change things around, then we are on the wrong path. We are on the wrong relationship. I need to permit the Lord to change my thinking. I need to allow the Lord to change my ways. I need to permit my Lord to challenge my relationships."
