There are times of trials and great conflicts in our personal or working lives. We desperately seek Jesus to help us overcome these painful relationships and to grant us victory. 

To surrender to Jesus and to trust that He will take control of our lives is never an easy option. By nature, we humans want to be in control of our life's destiny. Yet the Word of God assures us of the Promise that Our Lord will fight for you and me, and we just have to keep still. (cf. Exodus 14:14)

"AS FOR ME AND MY FAMILY WE WILL SERVE THE LORD" (Joshua 24:15)

"The family that prays together, stays together" is a well-known phrase by Venerable Fr. Patrick Peyton, the founder of the "Family Rosary Crusade".

October is the month of the Rosary. It is good to learn to pray as a family daily with the Power of the Holy Spirit. When a family prays together, it brings the family closer to God and to one another.

In these times, we are inundated with an overabundance of information from social media and messages from friends. It is difficult to know the truth when the messages contradict each other. This happens even with postings regarding our Catholic faith. It is important to learn to discern the truth in Christ's teaching to all of us - the authenticity of God's Love to all of humankind. There is "no spin" to the Word of God. Today, we open our heart and mind to reflect "Are You Being Deceived"?"

"WILL GOD LIVE IN THIS TEMPLE?" (1 Kings 8:27)

Many of us are in countries where lockdowns are still a part of our life and our churches are closed or with limited attendance for Holy Masses. How we practice our faith can be a challenge when the physical participation of celebrating Holy Mass  and other church activities are now online.  There are distractions that can hamper our faith journey.  Now is the time to reflect on the state of our heart - "Is God living within me?"

CONSECRATION OF THE FAMILY TO THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS by Fr. Michael Payyapilly V. C [11June 2021]

 

There will be Holy Mass and Adoration on Friday,11 June 2021  by Fr. Michael Payyapilly V.C. followed by prayers of Consecration of the Family and  Enthronement to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

You are welcome to send the names only of your IMMEDIATE family members Names to be placed at the altar for the Consecration of your family on this blessed Feast Day. Please send your family members names to daprayerintentions@gmail.com  Please do so at least 3 hours before Holy Mass begins. 

There will also be the blessing of the Sacred Heart of Jesus pictures and statues in your home. For those who do not have one, please try to print a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,

There is a sense of despair and anxiety when God will bring healing to our world. It is most apt that we are called to persevere in prayer and trust God.

You have the words of Eternal Life.‘ I might not have understood everything O Lord, but as You said it is Your Body and Blood O Lord. I will believe it is Your Body and Blood.’ That is faith.”

“That is the faith with which we come into the Eucharist. Lord, I might not understand it. Lord, I might not comprehend it but as You said it is Your Body and Blood, I will believe it is Your Body and Blood. That is faith. That is the faith Jesus is calling us to. When we come into the Lord’s Eucharistic Presence, let us remember, it is so important to get ourselves into the mode of knowing that I am now going to be receiving the Body and Blood of Jesu. I am going to receive the Lord Himself.”

As we partake of the Hol Week Triduum, I would like to share this brief prayer:

Jesus, help me meditate and reflect upon the REAL meaning of Holy Week and your last week on earth upon my life-when I receive the ultimate gift of Eternal Life in Heaven. As I continue my pilgrimage on earth, I seek Your sanctifying Grace to open my heart, my life to fulfil Your mission for me on earth.

Amen.
