The 9-Day Novena to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Fr. Michael Payyapilly V.C. began today (19 August 2022) starting with Praise & Worship, Talk, Healing Adoration followed by prayers of Consecration of the Family to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Holy Mass.

You are welcome to send "YOUR FAMILY NAME ONLY" to be placed at the altar for the Consecration of your family in this blessed month of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Please send your "Family Name" to massintentions.drcc@gmail.com by 12.00 p.m. noon (Sri Lanka Time) before the live-streaming begins.

The Catholic Church's theme for PENTECOST 2022 is "Equipping The Church As An Army to Possess The Nations". It is a call to every Catholic to prepare ourselves spiritually to receive a powerful Anointing of the Holy Spirit as we celebrate PENTECOST SUNDAY on 05 June 2022.

Fr. Michael Payyapilly V.C., Superior-Divine Retreat Centre Colombo, invites everyone to join in the  20 DAYS TO PENTECOST - 30  Minutes of Holy Adoration starting tomorrow (Tuesday, 17 May 2022) until Pentecost Sunday (05 June 2022). Holy Mass will follow it. 

Let us prepare our minds and hearts to be set free of all our worldly bondages to live pleasing lives for God.

“Am I producing fruits? Or am I just happy being a good Christian? Because very often, that is the choice we make. But to be a disciple who produces fruit, it will require total self-sacrifice.”

“How much of fruit have I produced? Because this is where it will all boil down to–‘Unless a grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies.’ And we don’t want to sacrifice ourselves!" 

“Have I ever in my Christian journey desired that I need to bear fruit? It is not an option. The Lord said, ‘It is a command.’ Bear fruit! It is not about you being a good Christian. It is not just about you going for the Sacraments. It is not about you and I coming to church for Sunday mass.”

“It is about asking ourselves, ‘How much have I produced fruits?’ Because unless and until I die to myself, I don’t think I will ever produce fruits.”

"We make Lenten resolutions but it doe not always match up. Sometimes we falter, we fail, and then we think we might as well continue this way. But it is important; if we have fallen, we need to rise again."

"How many times have we defended our sinful actions? Don't defend your sinful action. When we stand in the Presence of God, He will reveal what is there. Let us be humble enough to declare, 'Yes, Lord, I have sinned!'"

"That is more heroic. It is more spiritual challenging as you know that you have fallen, but you stand up and try again."
